Responsibilities for SAP SD consultant

• Facilitates the implementation and support of SAP SD applying the Process, Functional and Configuration skills.
• Performs detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provides appropriate system solutions.
• Facilitates workshops to collect business requirements and identifies, interprets, validates and documents customer requirements.
• Maps client business requirements, processes and objectives.
• Develops necessary product modifications to satisfy clients' needs.
• Designs, customizes, configures and tests SAP SD.
• Represents company interests and participates in business development.
• Manages time efficiently and become familiar with project cycles, testing methods, data migration techniques.
• Provides online and in-person training.
• Helps in delivery customers success using the industry, application, and technical knowledge.
• Conducts user requirements gathering, blueprinting and documentation designs. Follow best practices and SAP functionality in system.
• Identifies gaps, issues and develops work around solutions.
• Proactively identifies and proposes business process and/or system enhancements.
• Provides consulting services on both new implementations and existing support projects
• Acts as a liaison between the business functions and the technical team.
• Acts as liaison with client for troubleshooting: investigate, analyses, and solves software problems.
• Participates in business development activities.

Qualifications for SAP SD consultant

• Knowledge of principle SD processes, Sales Quotation, Contract creation, Sales Order Management, Delivery to Customer, Invoicing etc.
• Expert functional business process and SAP SD configuration.
• Good configuration knowledge of SD structures: Sales Organizations, Sales Order Types, Price Conditions, Invoicing etc.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in SAP SD.
• Minimum 3 End-to-End implementation experience in SAP SD, including basic knowledge of other modules.
• Integration knowledge with SAP modules of CO, FI, MM, PS and PP.
• Strong problem-solving skills, self-directed, results oriented and capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical customers.
• Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment.
• Experience in preparation of functional specifications for development with detailed technical descriptions (with BAPI, BADI, User Exits)
• Knowledge of SAP implementation project management standards.
• Familiar with SAP Best practices & industry knowledge
• Proficient in handling Issues/support functions.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple deliverables and projects at the same time.
• Understanding of accounting business processes
• Ability to understand business processes from a customer perspective.
• Ability to work in a team environment, effectively interacting with others.
• Strong exposure to system integration via EDI/ALE/IDOC.
• Experience in a Professional Services or Distribution company is an asset.
