SAP SD Consultant

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) Consultant with over 12 years of expertise to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of sales and distribution processes in an SAP S/4HANA environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP SD, with hands-on experience in HANA implementations, system upgrades, and functional enhancements. This role requires deep technical knowledge, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex end-to-end project delivery, ensuring seamless integration across business functions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. SAP S/4HANA SD Implementation & Support:

   • Lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA SD implementations, rollouts, and system upgrades for complex, multi-phase projects.
   • Configure and customize SAP SD functionalities to meet business requirements and industry best practices.
   • Oversee migration from legacy SAP ECC to S/4HANA, ensuring smooth transition, data integrity, and minimal system disruptions.
   • Provide expert-level guidance and support for SD-related issues across various stages of implementation and post-production.

2. Sales Order Management:

   • Manage the complete sales order lifecycle, including sales order creation, delivery, billing, and invoicing processes.
   • Optimize the order-to-cash process, ensuring accurate and efficient order fulfillment.
   • Lead process improvements related to pricing, discounts, sales contracts, and customer master data management.

3. Integration with Other SAP Modules:

   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (MM, WM, FI, PP, and CS) to ensure seamless integration of SAP SD processes across the enterprise.
   • Coordinate with the Finance (FI) module to ensure smooth integration of billing, invoicing, and revenue recognition processes.
   • Lead third-party integration projects and manage data flows between SAP SD and external systems, ensuring end-to-end process accuracy.

4. S/4HANA Innovations & Fiori Apps:

   • Leverage advanced features of SAP S/4HANA and Fiori apps to improve sales order processing, reporting, and analytics.
   • Implement embedded analytics and leverage the latest innovations in SAP S/4HANA to drive business transformation.
   • Advise clients on adopting SAP S/4HANA's new features and capabilities to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.

5. Process Optimization & Issue Resolution:

   • Identify, analyze, and resolve SAP SD-related functional issues to ensure smooth daily operations.
   • Proactively improve and optimize order processing workflows, reducing cycle times and enhancing overall efficiency.
   • Lead process re-engineering initiatives, aligning business goals with SAP Best Practices.

6. User Training & Documentation:

   • Develop comprehensive training materials and deliver training sessions for end-users and key stakeholders.
   • Create detailed functional documentation, process flows, and test scripts for system enhancements and updates.
   • Act as a mentor and guide junior consultants and business teams, ensuring knowledge transfer and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in SAP SD, including expertise in S/4HANA implementations and functional configurations.
• Extensive experience with order management, sales pricing, billing, shipping, and customer master data management.
• Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA innovations, Fiori applications, and embedded analytics.
• Experience in integrating SAP SD with MM, WM, FI, PP, and CS modules for end-to-end business processes.
• Hands-on experience with SAP HANA implementation, upgrades, and data migration from SAP ECC to S/4HANA.
• Ability to identify and resolve complex issues in the SAP SD module while improving process efficiency.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
