SAP SAC Planning

Position Summary: 
The SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning Consultant will play a critical role in leading the design, implementation, and optimization of planning solutions using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning capabilities. You will work closely with clients to understand their planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting requirements, design SAC planning solutions, and deliver seamless integration with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, or other data sources. The consultant will ensure that clients can leverage SAC to enhance collaboration, improve forecasting accuracy, and drive better business outcomes. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Lead the implementation and configuration of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning solutions, focusing on the entire planning lifecycle from data modeling to final reporting. 

• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their planning and forecasting needs, transforming them into functional SAC planning configurations. 

• Design and configure SAC models for financial planning, sales forecasting, cost planning, workforce planning, and other operational planning processes. 

• Develop and configure SAC planning views, input schedules, and calculation scripts to automate planning and forecasting processes. 

• Integrate SAC Planning with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, and other third-party systems to ensure seamless data flow and consistency. 

• Implement planning scenarios such as Budgeting, Forecasting, and What-If analysis, ensuring flexibility and accuracy in projections. 

• Develop and implement data visualizations and interactive dashboards to enable clients to visualize and analyze planning data in real-time. 

• Configure and implement business rules, predictive forecasting, and analytics capabilities within SAC to improve decision-making accuracy. 

• Guide clients on best practices for collaborative planning, ensuring that SAC can be used effectively across different departments and teams. 

• Conduct training sessions for end-users, ensuring clients are self-sufficient in using SAC for planning and analysis. 

• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for SAC Planning solutions, resolving issues related to planning data, configurations, and integrations. 

• Stay updated with the latest SAC Planning features and innovations, providing clients with recommendations for continuous improvement. 

• Collaborate with project managers and other consultants to ensure successful, timely, and within-budget delivery of SAC Planning solutions. 

• Develop and maintain project documentation, including functional specifications, system configuration guides, and user manuals. 

• Support system testing (UAT) and assist clients in validating SAC Planning solutions during implementation. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field. 

• 5+ years of experience implementing and configuring SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), specifically SAC Planning functionality. 

• Strong experience with financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and What-If analysis in an enterprise environment. 

• Hands-on experience with SAC data modeling, planning views, input schedules, and planning data entry configurations. 

• Familiarity with integrating SAC Planning with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, or other external data sources for planning and reporting. 

• Solid understanding of SAC’s capabilities, including Business Rules, Predictive Forecasting, and Planning Analytics. 

• Experience with Cloud-based analytics platforms and tools, and a deep understanding of business analytics concepts. 

• Expertise in SAC reporting and data visualization techniques to display planning data effectively. 

• Experience with SAP Fiori and other front-end user interfaces for SAC Planning is a plus. 

• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with business users, IT teams, and senior management. 

• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex planning and forecasting challenges. 

• SAP Analytics Cloud certification is highly desirable. 

• Strong experience with Agile methodology and project management tools is an advantage. 

Preferred Skills: 

• Knowledge of advanced data integration techniques with SAP and third-party systems. 

• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA Finance and SAP BW integration with SAC Planning. 

• Experience with predictive analytics in SAC and applying machine learning techniques to business planning. 

• Experience in implementing collaborative planning scenarios with multiple departments (e.g., finance, sales, HR).
