Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Fiori Consultant with over 12 years of expertise in developing, implementing, and optimizing SAP solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ABAP programming and SAP Fiori development, with hands-on experience in S/4HANA implementations. The role demands advanced technical skills to design, implement, and optimize Fiori applications, develop custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements, and drive digital transformation initiatives using the latest SAP technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. SAP ABAP Development:

    • Design, develop, and implement custom SAP solutions using ABAP programming to support SAP S/4HANA applications.
    • Develop custom reports, user exits, BAPIs, BADIs, RFCs, and function modules based on business requirements.
    • Optimize existing ABAP code for performance, scalability, and efficiency in an S/4HANA environment.
    • Support system integration by developing interfaces between SAP and external systems.

  2. SAP Fiori Development:

    • Lead the design, development, and implementation of SAP Fiori applications using Fiori UI5, OData services, and SAP Gateway.
    • Work with the UI/UX teams to design intuitive and user-friendly Fiori apps, ensuring an excellent user experience.
    • Customize standard Fiori applications and develop new Fiori apps to meet specific business needs.
    • Ensure that Fiori applications are properly integrated with the underlying SAP S/4HANA system, ensuring real-time data access and smooth user interactions.

  3. S/4HANA Implementation & Support:

    • Lead S/4HANA implementation projects and contribute to the system conversion from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA.
    • Perform S/4HANA-specific ABAP developments and provide support in migrating ECC-based ABAP code to S/4HANA.
    • Collaborate with functional teams to ensure smooth integration of ABAP and Fiori developments with SAP S/4HANA modules (MM, SD, FI, PP, etc.).

  4. Performance Tuning & Optimization:

    • Perform system performance analysis and optimize ABAP code, SQL queries, and Fiori apps for S/4HANA to ensure high performance and responsiveness.
    • Leverage the HANA database and its in-memory processing capabilities to optimize application performance.

  5. Collaboration & Integration:

    • Collaborate with Functional Consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate SAP S/4HANA and Fiori applications with other SAP modules (SD, MM, FI, etc.) and third-party applications.
    • Lead the creation of OData services for seamless data exchange between Fiori apps and backend SAP systems.

  6. Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement:

    • Provide technical support for SAP issues related to ABAP, Fiori, and S/4HANA.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in the development and deployment of ABAP programs and Fiori apps.
    • Continuously evaluate and implement best practices for SAP development and Fiori-based solutions.

  7. Documentation & Knowledge Transfer:

    • Create comprehensive technical documentation for ABAP programs, Fiori apps, and custom enhancements.
    • Provide training and knowledge transfer to junior developers and team members.
    • Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and methodologies to improve development efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development, including expertise in S/4HANA.
  • Extensive experience in SAP Fiori development using SAP UI5, OData services, and SAP Gateway.
  • Solid experience in ABAP programming (user exits, BAPIs, BADIs, ALV reports, enhancement frameworks, RFCs).
  • Strong knowledge of S/4HANA system architecture, data models, and integration points with various SAP modules (MM, SD, FI, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience in S/4HANA migration and code remediation for compatibility with the HANA database.
  • Deep understanding of performance tuning in ABAP and Fiori applications, including optimization for SAP HANA.
  • Proficiency in Fiori Launchpad, SAP Web IDE, and SAP Fiori elements.
  • Experience with SAP HANA Studio, OData, RESTful API, and web services.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in an agile project environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
