Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Department head to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects within our client organizations. As a Technical Department head you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success, manage project budgets and timelines, and drive continuous improvement in project processes.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead the planning and execution of technical projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and business goals.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timeline, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to define project requirements, deliverables, and success criteria.
  • Manage project risks and issues, proactively identifying and mitigating potential obstacles to project success.
  • Monitor project progress, track key milestones, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, promoting effective communication and knowledge sharing among project team members.
  • Ensure adherence to project management best practices, methodologies, and quality standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency gains and implementing solutions.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members, fostering professional development and growth.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience managing technical projects in a consulting or professional services environment.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional project teams.
  • Solid technical background, with knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is a plus.
